Frequently Asked Questions about Edible Imprintables

How long does it take to have my chocolates printed?

Once the artwork (images and text) are approved and the order is paid, we will begin the printing process. Depending on the size of the order and time of year (the holidays are always busy for great gift ideas like these personalized chocolates), it should take 1 to 2 weeks to ship out your order. We will ship sooner if possible. We ask for the date it is needed by to make sure we get your order out in time, especially if its for a special occasion.

What kind of image quality can I expect?

The quality of the image you provide, will completely determine the quality of the finished chocolate. The better the quality of the original image, the better the image on the chocolate will appear. Digital photos should be 300 dpi (dots per inch) or greater. Photos that are very dark or blurry will print just as dark and blurry.  We will work with you to design an image that works best on your chocolate. If you provide an image that we believe will not meet your expectation, we will contact you to request an alternate image. The shape of the image you provide may work better on certain shapes of chocolate.

You can provide your image to us in several ways:

  • You may email your digital image.
  • You may mail hard copy photos, business cards or logos to us for scanning. We cannot guarantee that the items you send us will be returned.

When mailing, please remember to include your email address and order number.

Digital image formats that we can accept include: .bmp,, .gif, .jpg and .tif. If your image is in another format and you are unable to convert it to your satisfaction, we can have a graphic designer work with you for an additional fee.

We cannot accept copyrighted images without permission from the owner. For example, without permission we cannot print professional sports logos, corporate logos, Disney characters, copyrighted photographs or copyrighted clip art.

There are a few things to keep in mind when selecting an image:

  • Choose images with high contrast between the foreground and background. A purple sweater on a purple background will not print well on the chocolate.
  • We cannot guarantee that the colors of your image will be reproduced accurately.
  • Large images or images with a lot of detail may lose some detail when reduced to fit on the chocolate.

If I don’t have a photo, what can I use?

You still have lots of options. We can use clip art or stock photos, or even just text. Give us a call at 214-288-2906 or email us and we will work with you to create something memorable for your event or special gift.

Do you accept rush orders?

Rush orders are accepted for a 15% premium. When ordering, please use the code “rush” and we will attempt to get your order out.  We'll contact you to discuss turnaround time. We do reserve the right to not accept rush orders during busy times in order to be fair to other customers.

How do you ship the products?

We ship our chocolates priority so they get the better handling. We are happy to ship 2nd day air or overnight at your request for the additional postage fees. We carefully package you chocolates so they arrive in the condition you can enjoy them.  Orders are shipped with a signature release, so, if the recipient is not home, the package will be left at the door. If a signature is required, please make your request when the order is placed.

During summer months when the temperature can raise above 85 degrees, we will include a $10 surcharge and include ice packs.

Who makes your chocolate?

Our custom chocolate pieces are made from delicious Guittard chocolate, the last family owned chocolate maker in the United States. They work directly with growers long before harvest, to ensure quality.

What’s in your chocolate?

A list of ingredients can be supplied upon request.

How long will the chocolate last?
Chocolate is best stored at cool room temperatures (60-70°F), well wrapped to keep moisture out, and away from highly scented foods or aromatic products that might be absorbed by the chocolate. Under these conditions the chocolate should last nine to twelve months.

Chocolate is a stable product that does not require refrigeration. Ideally, it should not be refrigerated as this will change the appearance of the chocolate. ‘Bloom’ occurs when chocolate is kept at temperatures outside the recommended range. This is a lighter discoloration on the chocolate and does not affect taste. Condensation forms when chocolate is taken from the refrigerator or freezer may damage the image on the chocolate's surface.

Do you offer volume discounts?
We are willing to offer lower rates for larger orders based on the number and size of the items ordered. Please contact us for a specific quote.

Do you ship outside the United States?
At this time we only ship within the USA.

Can I cancel my order or change my order once placed?
Once your order is in production it can’t be cancelled. You will be notified of this date, via email when your payment is received.
